From the City Council (please note works on Nethergate and Perth Road as part of this project referred to below do not commence until first week of July) :
Dundee City Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of facilitating Scottish Water mains renewal works. The Order is expected to be in force for twenty weeks from 6 June 2016. Its maximum duration in terms of the Act is eighteen months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in (1) Artillery Lane for its entire length, (2) Tay Square from number 2 to number 4 and (3) Ford's Lane for its entire length.
These closures are in addition to the previously advertised Scottish Water mains renewal Order for the Perth Road Area. Each closure will not be closed for more than 2 weeks within this 20 week window.
Alternative routes will be available via (1) no diversion route available, (2) South Tay Street and Tay Square and (3) no diversion route available.
