Bus services latest

I recently asked the Acting Director of National Express Dundee for clarification of the proposed changes to the 5 and 26 bus services as part of the changes being introduced on 6th March.    He has advised :

"The changes in more detail are:

Service 26:

Most departures are now 15 minutes later than currently e.g. the 10.40 from City Centre will now leave at 10.55. This is because the 17 and 26 were timed together in the Whitfield area and this was not good for passengers. The last bus from City Centre will become 18.05.

We have also extended a school day journey from Jack Martin Way to Ninewells Hospital and the City Centre. This will be 09.01 at Pentland Avenue/Scott Street and may of use to your local constituents.

Service 5:

This is 3 morning peak journeys that operate up to 4 minutes earlier than now to help deal with congestion in the City Centre.

With regard to your fares request I have been giving this consideration along with others that I have received. We are still looking at these and I will be able to give a decision shortly."

The fares request I have made is a review of the service 22 stages so that West End residents travelling to Downfield are not subjected to the highest fare level.
