REPORT FOR THE WEST END WARD - WEEK COMMENCING MONDAY 27 MAY 2024
Blinshall Street (Douglas Street to 50 metres south) - closed until December 2024 for construction works.
Douglas Street (Blinshall Street to Brown Street) - temporary traffic lights until December 2024 for construction works.
Brown Street (south of Douglas Street) - closed until December 2024 for construction works.
Seafield Road, Dundee - closed from its westmost end (in cul-de-sac) extending for a distance of no more than 20 metres in an easterly direction to facilitate a site access for a new housing development until November 2025.
Riverside Drive (at railway station) – off‑peak (9.30am to 3.30pm) off‑side eastbound lane closure on Monday 27 May for Veolia Water ironwork repair.
Magdalen Yard Road (between Thomson Street and Windsor Street) - closed to westbound traffic on Sunday 2 June for Westfest event.
Forthcoming Roadworks
Glamis Drive – road closure between Glamis Road and Hillside Road from Monday 3 June for 5 days for drainage and footway repairs.
Perth Road (at West Park Road) – temporary traffic lights on Saturday 8 June for BT work.
South Marketgait/Greenmarket – road closure for 5 nights from 9 June (7.00pm to 6.00am) for carriageway resurfacing.
Riverside Drive/Riverside Avenue – road closure for 5 nights from 16 June (7.00pm to 6.00am) for carriageway resurfacing, including Invergowrie slip road and Perth Road slip road.
Scottish and Southern Energy Network Elmwood Cable Renewal Scheme – rolling road closures from Monday 17 June for 29 weeks: week commencing 17 June – Milnbank Gardens closed; and Ancrum Road closed westbound between Tullideph Road and Glamis Road – including :
- Ancrum Road (westbound between Tullideph Road and Glamis Road);
- Tullideph Road (westbound between City Road and Ancrum Road);
- City Road (southbound between Tullideph Road and Milnbank Gardens); and
- Milnbank Gardens.
Riverside Avenue/Dykes of Gray Road (at Swallow roundabout) - closed Monday to Friday overnight (7.30pm to 6.30am) from Monday 1 July for 11 months for junction improvement works.
