I recently mentioned that I had taken up with the City Council the poor condition of the roadway of Fort Street. As one resident put it, "potholes ... are bad and getting worse and loose gravel all over the place."
I have now had the following response from the council's Road Maintenance Partnership :
A Road Maintenance Partnership inspector has arranged for a mechanical sweeper to visit Fort Street and has also raised an order for the repair of the potholes noted with a timescale for completion of twenty eight days or sooner.
