Earlier this evening, I attended the July meeting of Community Spirit Action Group - the community group for the "north" part of West End Ward, covering Pentland, Tullideph, Ancrum and the Cleghorn area.
We had an excellent update from Sharon Bain of Solar Cities Scotland on its work in the West End on both community carbon exchange and the sustainable energy promotion scheme – the latter looking at energy saving and insulation for local homes. There was a very useful discussion about progressing insulation initiatives in the local area. Sharon is kindly also taking part in a meeting I am holding for Ancrum Drive residents next week, to discuss specific house insulation for residents there - along with other local matters.
