Forthcoming events in the Zoology Museum

From the Curator of Museum Services at the University of Dundee :

We have two special events planned in the D'Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum before the museum re-opens for its summer season in June.

Tuesday 14th May at 6pm
Dr Jenny Bryce (Scottish Natural Heritage) : The Scottish Wildcat: a history of conservation action

Jenny Bryce, wildlife ecologist at Scottish Natural Heritage, will talk about Scottish wildcats, their conservation, the background of research that has led to our current understanding and proposals for future action.   Please note - this talk was originally scheduled for 30th April but will now take place two weeks later on 14th May.

Tuesday 21st May at 6pm
Notes from the Museum V

Always one of the highlights of the museum’s events programme, this annual event (now in its fifth year) features poetry and prose inspired by D’Arcy and his collections, written and performed by students on the Creative Writing MLitt course at the University of Dundee.   The event will be chaired by tutor Edward Small.
