From the Curator of Museum Services at the University of Dundee:
A special exhibition featuring art by Master of Fine Art students from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design will be on show in the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee this Saturday.
Accompanying the two exhibitions currently showing in the Tower Building (featuring artists inspired by the ideas and collections of D'Arcy Thompson), the MFA students were invited to create a visual response to the unique setting of the museum. As well as drawings, prints and other two-dimensional works, the exhibition features numerous installation pieces hidden in the display cases among the zoology specimens – and some on the specimens themselves!
The museum is open on Saturday 2nd February 12 noon to 5pm and admission is free. You can read blogs by some of the students and download a free print from the exhibition website here.
