Yesterday, I took part in the latest meeting of
the City Council's Local Economy Monitoring Group, that includes a cross-party group of councillors, senior council officers and representatives of Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses.
The group reviews the city's economic progress and yesterday's meeting covered feedback from the City Council's recent Youth Employment Summit, the renewables sector, progress with the Waterfront and V&A at Dundee projects and the DWP Work Programme.

The Local Economic Monitoring Group is a positive initiative and enables councillors and chief officers to hear views from local business representatives on the local economy and employment situation in the city.
