Some weeks ago, I mentioned the good news that the City Council had agreed to provide a new bus shelter at the exposed bus stop on Blackness Road at Victoria Park and that it had agreed to avoid creating a
"build out" on the roadway to accommodate the shelter as this would unnecessarily reduce the width of the roadway. Instead, the shelter has been build to the rear of the footway.
I am pleased to advise that the shelter is now in place (see above right) and residents' reaction to it is sort of summed-up by one lady who lives locally and who e-mailed me to say "...saw the lovely new bus shelter when I was driving home from Tesco last night - just super."
