Last night, I attended the latest monthly meeting of West End Community Council. There was a very informative presentation on the recently launched Local Development Plan consultation period and a good question and answer session afterwards about possible future development in the west of the city.
A consultation event on the Local Development Plan is taking place at the West District Housing Office on Tuesday 25th October between 2pm and 7.30pm and all residents are very welcome to come along at any time during the event.
The Community Council meeting was also advised that an initial meeting to hopefully form a friends' group for the recently opened Riverside Nature Park will take place in the Education Centre at the University of Dundee Botanic Garden at 6pm on Wednesday 23rd November. I have already passed on the names of a number of interested residents and all will be welcome at this meeting.
