Dundee City Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of facilitating kerb realignment works. The Order is expected to be in force for three weeks from 7 February 2011. Its maximum duration in terms of the Act is eighteen months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit temporarily all eastbound vehicular traffic in Perth Road from its junction with Riverside Avenue for a distance of 50 metres or thereby.
Pedestrian thoroughfare and vehicular access to premises will be maintained where possible.
An alternative route will be available via Riverside Avenue, Riverside Drive (except Heavy Goods Vehicles) and Perth Road. An alternative route for Heavy Goods Vehicles will be available via Riverside Drive, South Marketgait, West Marketgait, Hawkhill and Perth Road.
The right turn lane from Riverside Avenue (westbound) and left turn lane from Riverside Avenue (eastbound) into Perth Road will be closed for the duration of these works.
