Tonight, along with a fellow ward councillor and others, including Rev George Robson, Minister of Balgay Parish Church, I addressed a well-attended meeting of around 100 parishioners of St Francis' Parish Church, following the recent announcement of the proposed closure from 15th August.The announcement of the Friary's closure has been greeted with great sadness, not just within the local church community, but across the city.
A committee is to be formed to act as a voice for parishioners and I wish them every success in their endeavours.
