Yesterday, the Director of Education advised me that Scottish Government has approved the City Council's application for deregulation in respect of the proposal to build two new primary schools and a nursery to replace the current Park Place and St Joseph's Primary Schools buildings and Park Place Nursery, on a shared campus on the site of the former Logie secondary school.As reported in today's "Courier" I have made the point that the Scottish Government decision has taken some time to be made.
Some time ago the Director of Education gave me an assurance that he would call an initial meeting of the west end schools project board as soon as the decision was known
I hope this can now happen without delay as it is important to consult with all -and particularly parents - as the project progresses. I have written to the Director asking for assurances in that regard.
