The photographs below highlight the mindless graffiti vandalism at and near to Magdalen Green that I highlighted yesterday in the "Evening Telegraph" (click on headline above to view).
Vandals have defaced the newer notice board on the Green and the walk-bridge between the Green and the playing fields at Riverside Drive.
Following complaints from residents and from the Friends of Magdalen Green, I contacted the City Council’s Head of Waste Management asking that the Council’s Rapid Response Team remove the graffiti and have also brought the matter to the attention of Tayside Police. Residents are rightly extremely annoyed at this latest example of mindless vandalism.
Graffiti is a problem in many parts of the City and it is important it is removed promptly so I am grateful to the Head of Waste Management who has very promptly responded advising that he will progress my request that the graffiti gets removed.
The Department also makes anti-graffiti kits available to community groups which is a useful service.
